Ring in the holiday season with a two-part holiday extravaganza featuring Berklee's Diamond Cut Big Band performing Duke Ellington’s The Nutcracker Suite. Produced and directed by professor Tia Fuller, this concert celebrates the music of Ellington’s 1960s recording of jazz interpretations of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker arranged by Ellington and Billy Strayhorn.
The second portion of the concert will feature master saxophonist and Berklee alumnus Jaleel Shaw. He will be performing classics from Berklee’s GenNext All-Stars’ new holiday recording, Noel.
Additionally, this spectacular performance will highlight select students from Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Dance Division, under the direction of world-renowned choreographer/dancer and Boston Conservatory faculty member Anthony Burrell.
