Well-Being at Berklee

In support of our fundamental value to care for each other and for the well-being of our community, Berklee is committed to providing our employees with resources and opportunities to support their whole selves. This holistic approach encompasses eight dimensions of wellness—emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual—all of which are key to each of us being able to thrive personally and professionally, and live a fulfilling life. Community

Build connections with other faculty and staff through social and community-building events, employee resource groups, and our employee recognition program.

  • Performers dance on stage with a dramatic purple and orange background

At Berklee's annual Dancing with the Stars fundraiser, each team pairs a beloved personality from Berklee with a talented dance faculty member or alum. Every dollar raised goes directly to the Dance Division Faculty Award, empowering students with financial need to pursue their passion for dance.

  • Faculty members learn a dance during a BTOT session

Berklee Teachers on Teaching (BTOT) is a vibrant gathering of teachers learning together through collaboration. Through more than 70 sessions taught by the Berklee community, faculty share their expertise and explore a wide variety of topics through discussions, lectures, and interactive workshops, including the dance workshop featured here.

  • Staff performers pose on stage after their performance at BRASS Day

Each year, staff gather for BRASS Day, a celebratory day to recognize staff contributions. The awards ceremony features a staff house band (pictured here) and other performances in addition to honoring staff members who made a significant impact over the last year.

  • A group of employees smiles together at the annual service recognition event

Each year, Berklee honors faculty and staff with 10 or more years of service at an evening reception celebration. Here, a group of faculty, chairs, and administrators gather together at the event.

  • Faculty and staff wearing hair nets work at tables preparing food at a volunteer event

Faculty and staff can join employee resource groups and committees, such as Berklee's Gracenotes Volunteer Committee or GreenNotes, Berklee's sustainability committee, to help local organizations with projects and participate in neighborhood cleanup efforts.

  • Faculty and staff gather outside the Berklee Performance Center as part of Opening Day

Opening Day, Berklee's yearly kickoff to the new academic year for all faculty and staff, provides an inspirational forum for us to connect and gather around our shared mission to serve our students and cultivate a supportive learning environment.
