Who We Are

Established in 2023, the SOMOS Latinx program is a campus-wide initiative that celebrates the rich traditions, artistry, and contributions of the Latinx and Hispanic diaspora. Open to all students at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee, the program encourages creative exploration, cultural appreciation, and community-building while also providing a strong foundation for success at Berklee and beyond.

Entering Student Pre-Orientation Program

The SOMOS Latinx Pre-Orientation program marks the beginning of students' journey at Berklee, taking place each fall before the college-wide orientation. This week-long program offers a dynamic mix of sessions exploring social and cultural topics, alongside performance and community-building activities. Designed to foster connection and belonging, it introduces students to the rich contributions of the Latinx and Hispanic diaspora to Berklee and the arts.

Academic Year Programs and Events

Each semester, students will have the opportunity to engage in workshops with campus partners through the Berklee Bridge and experience programming and events like community dinners, field trips, and more. These intentional connections foster a sense of community and belonging, supporting students in achieving their personal, academic, and artistic goals.
